We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Principal Insights Analyst. You should have experience of manipulating complex databases, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collate, interpret and present information.
You should be experienced in using SQL and MS Excel and possess a good knowledge of NHS data sets.
This role is much more than just numbers and data. It is essential that you're able to capture the hearts and minds of the workforce while connecting, engaging, and influencing multiple stakeholders.

Main duties of the jobData & Analytics is pivotal to the delivery of high-quality efficient healthcare provision. The Insights Team provides analysis and insight to support the NCA in using information to support effective decision-making, ensuring that they make the best use of their resources, understand their performance (quality and efficiency), and provide the information required to enable them to focus on areas of greatest opportunity.
The role will provide expert professional advice in relation to national, local, contractual and regulatory requirements and the translation into operational requirements, demand & capacity planning, performance management, reporting, measurement processes, and statistical modelling.

Person Specification Experience- Substantial experience of working in the NHS or other healthcare provider
- Experience and detailed understanding of NHS Information, reporting, and performance management requirements and processes
- Experience in using R or other equivalent programming language
- Evidence of relevant continued professional development in a specialist informatics area
- Degree or equivalent professional qualifications/experience
- Degree in a numerate/informatics or business management-related subject or equivalent significant experience
- Informatics-related courses and qualifications
- Formal management/leadership training
- SQL report writing skills
- Ability to work to a deadline and to prioritise own workload
- Able to communicate clearly both in verbal and written communications.
- Excellent level of numeracy and literacy skills
- Organised and methodical with attention to detail
