Join the Data & Insights team in a welcoming organisation that is passionate about pets and people. We are looking for an experienced insights or data analyst to enhance our organisation's insights.

More about the role

Our highly skilled team provides the metrics, reports, and analysis that underpin evidence-based decision-making across Blue Cross. Your work will ensure that our Data Strategy supports our vision for trusted, accessible information that helps pets and people thrive together.

You will report to and collaborate closely with the Insights Manager to deliver reporting, analysis, and insights that deepen our understanding of our clients, supporters, and other key stakeholders. You will join our vital data-led work on supporter selections for fundraising and engagement activities, fostering a culture of increased data usage and insights-driven decision-making throughout Blue Cross.

There will be plenty of opportunities for you to problem solve, experiment, and innovate to help us drive forward our data maturity while ensuring reporting adheres to all legislative and regulatory requirements and the integrity and accuracy of the data. You'll have the autonomy to deliver results and share knowledge with the team. You will also be part of our current cross-organisation project implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 and shaping associated reporting.

We work on a hybrid model with three days at home and two days in our offices in Burford, Oxfordshire per week. Our preferred office days are Tuesdays and Thursdays.

About you

This role would suit an experienced analyst looking for a step up with the opportunity to coach and support others in the team. You will be confident, proactive, and articulate in promoting data, insights, and the benefits of evidence-based decision making.

You will need to use various analytical tools, skills, and techniques to design and develop reports and dashboards to tell compelling stories, and effectively analyse complex data from diverse sources.

Great presenting and communication skills are essential to deliver insights to stakeholders both in person and virtually, and to build strong stakeholder relationships throughout the organisation.

You'll have an interest in learning about and developing experience in supporter journeys and selections, and if this is new to you, we'll fully support you.

We use Microsoft Power BI as our business intelligence tool, but you might have used other BI software such as Tableau or Qlik. Don't worry if you haven't used Power BI - you'll get support to learn.
