Responsibilities- Lead the L&D function for Avison Young in the UK reporting to the UK HRD
- Redesign of Career Framework for all roles
- Design and delivery of leadership development sessions
- Pre-promotion development programme including personal coaching and business case formulation
- Leadership high potential programme; to include group networking/learning events and individual coaching/career development planning
- Delivery of firmwide core skills training programme; to include people management, commercial awareness and business development skills
- Review other as-is processes, making changes as necessary to continuously improve these
- Ensure L&D team member is engaged, motivated and performing to their best
- Coach and mentor team member
- Take on duties and responsibilities associated with being a senior member of the HR team, some of which may sit outside core role
- Extensive experience in Learning & Development, including hands-on experience of programme and project management, as well as leading and managing L&D teams.
- Consultancy / advisory experience is preferable; candidates from other backgrounds will be only be considered if there is demonstrable experience of working in a similar environment
- Highly commercial, experience of setting and performing to commercial KPIs
- Extensive experience in budgeting, reporting, resourcing and analysis
- Extensive experience in making strategic recommendations and decisions
- Expert attention to detail and ability to meet multiple deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
- Proven ability to lead, engage and inspire
- Proven experience of building trusted relationships with clients/stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to demonstrate gravitas and influence
- Exceptional at working and communicating with people whatever their discipline or background
- Extensive experience of making change happen in a meaningful and impactful way; both for clients but also from the inside of an organisation as a senior member of HR team
- Strong teamwork and collaboration
- Using high levels of emotional intelligence in your work demonstrating a strong ability to empathise and see things from a variety of perspectives
- Maintaining an open-minded and curious mindset
