Senior Lifestyle Writer - 12-Month FTC

We're looking for an experienced Senior Lifestyle Writer to join a leading London-based digital media company on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role offers hybrid working (1 day per week in the London office) with remote flexibility.

As a Senior Lifestyle Writer, you'll play a key role in shaping and growing original lifestyle content, with a focus on health, wellness, and parenting. You'll be at the forefront of trending stories, crafting high-impact content that resonates with UK audiences.

1. Stay ahead of trending lifestyle news, particularly in parenting, pitching, and producing timely content.
2. Create original, engaging content that stands out from syndicated material.
3. Use audience insights, SEO, and data-driven strategies to enhance content performance.
4. Experiment with new storytelling formats, including social video.
5. Work with editors and audience teams to drive growth and engagement.
6. Support content planning and contribute to a collaborative newsroom environment.

1. 3+ years' experience in digital journalism, with strong CMS skills.
2. Deep understanding of the UK lifestyle landscape and audience interests.
3. Strong interviewing & story-sourcing skills with media law awareness.
4. Comfortable working with data and multimedia formats (e.g., video, social).
5. NCTJ qualification (or equivalent) is a plus.
6. Ability to work proactively, flexibly, and at pace in a newsroom setting.
