We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager - Project Portfolio to lead the planning, execution, and governance of our technology project portfolio. You will oversee a diverse set of programs and projects, aligning them with business objectives, optimizing resource allocation, and driving consistent delivery excellence across the technology organization.
Key Responsibilities:Portfolio Leadership:
Own and manage the end-to-end technology project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and business priorities.Governance & Reporting:
Develop and enforce project governance frameworks, standard methodologies, and tools. Track and report portfolio performance, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define project priorities, timelines, and resource needs in line with organizational capacity and goals.Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of project and program managers. Promote a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.Risk & Issue Management:
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate portfolio-level risks and issues. Serve as the escalation point for critical project challenges.Budget & Resource Management:
Manage portfolio budgets and resource planning, ensuring optimal allocation of people and capital for maximum impact.Stakeholder Communication:
Act as a strategic partner to senior business and technology leaders, facilitating transparency, alignment, and informed decision-making.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
8-10+ years of experience in project/program management within a tech-driven organization.
Demonstrated success in managing complex project portfolios across software development, infrastructure, and/or digital transformation.
Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies; certifications such as PMP, SAFe, or Prince2 preferred.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all organizational levels.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Hands-on experience with portfolio management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Clarity PPM).
Experience in a scale-up or enterprise environment undergoing digital transformation.
Background in technology operations, software development, or IT strategy.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, DevOps, and modern engineering practices.
