Job Description

Internally, this role will be known as 'Senior Manager, Integrated Planning & Strategy'

This position sits in our Growth Marketing service based in London or Manchester. We combine data, technology, creative content, and paid media to crack brands' business problems & drive revenue through a variety of digital marketing solutions like ad campaigns, augmented reality, and chatbots.

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a Senior Media Strategist (META Consumer) who will work with and support the growth of a talented team of growth marketers. This role is equal parts research and insight development as well as strategic client partnership. DEPT are constantly adapting and evolving, and this person will be part of a cross-collaborative team who are located across market and locations. This person will join us as a key member of our strategy offering; working with multiple stakeholders and teams to provide quality, data-based strategies to our clients while also helping to guide larger cross-functional teams on their ongoing optimisations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create influential and powerful strategies for our clients, ensuring that we continue to push them to be the most advanced, efficient, and effective brands in the fields they operate within.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals, target audience, and industry landscape.
  • Translate insights derived from data into a clear story to convince the client.
  • Develop innovative and data-driven digital marketing strategies that align with client objectives.
  • Leverage a deep understanding of marketing, technology, and innovation to create comprehensive plans that drive measurable results.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal execution of campaigns and projects.
  • Have experience in developing insights from internal (such as Google Analytics & Meta) and external (such as GWI and eMarketer) data tools.
  • Pull together research insights from Competitive data (Pathmatics, Vivvix, Similarweb), Audience Research (GWI), Landscape insights (eMarketer, business journals), Client Data (GA, CM, META etc.) and 1P data.
  • Develop and contribute to full funnel media and data-driven strategies based on research insights.
  • Support the creation of holistic communication plans and media strategies; from setting objectives & KPIs, audience sizing, profiling, targeting, determining media channel mix and potential tactics/partners, budget setting to measurement frameworks.
  • Closely partner and collaborate with internal teams such as Client Services, Creatives, Tech, and others when creating and executing holistic media campaigns.
  • Work along a range of cross-discipline teams both within the agency and client's team alike, building a collaborative and trusting relationship along the way.
  • Work closely with Clients and their internal teams to develop extensive briefs.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and able to contribute to a client presentation confidently on their own.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Solid, hands-on experience in cross-channel media planning & optimisation including all digital channels with a lead toward Paid Social.
  • Solid experience with media industry research and planning tools (i.e. ComScore, MRI, GWI, Kantar, Pathmatics).
  • Experience planning Paid media channels within a larger media ecosystem that includes Owned channels.
  • Client-facing experience and management experience.
  • Understanding of Brand and Performance media.
  • Strong collaboration, client relationship, and leadership skills.
  • Experience navigating cross-functional teams and dynamics.
