Job Duties and Responsibilities

ADI's Aerospace and Defense Sensors, Subsystems, & Space business unit has an open position for a PCB Design Engineer. Working on new technology development, you will design cutting-edge integrated modules and subsystems for EW, communication, and phased array radar systems. In this position, you will work in a collaborative team environment primarily interfacing with digital, RF, and mechanical design engineers.

Principal job responsibilities include:

  • Design dense and complex PCBs with a wide variety of component types, signal requirements, and board fabrication technologies.
  • Provide technical support for all inquiries regarding PCB fabrication and fab notes internally & externally from suppliers.
  • Conduct detailed board design reviews.
  • Potentially supervise a small group of other PCB layout designers.
  • Maintain a ticket system for assigning jobs to the group and reporting job status to the engineering community.
  • Generate 3D CAD IDF files and generate 3D models for library parts in Solid Works.
  • Maintain licenses for PADS users and other software tools.

Qualifications

Required

  • 7+ years' layout experience required.
  • Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Allegro (PADS experience a plus).
  • Strong PCB design skills including RF and mixed signal/material/technology.
  • Skilled in design techniques that maximize RF isolation and prevent signal integrity issues.
  • PCB fabrication process knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of IPC standards and MIL-HDBK guidelines.
  • Strong organizational and communications skills with ability to work in a fast-paced & dynamic environment.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.

Preferred

  • Supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of JIRA agile management system.
