Advert

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior People Advisor in Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to provide support to our services.

At Homerton, we believe that diverse teams deliver the highest quality care for our patients. To achieve the Trust's vision for its people - to be the best place to work in the NHS - we must seek applications from high-quality people whose backgrounds, experiences, and identities broaden and enhance the diversity of our existing staff.

We are currently working to embed 'Just and Learning Culture' principles into Trust policies and processes, which cuts across several workstreams to improve our culture and ensure our people get the best possible experiences in working at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

We are looking to appoint an experienced Senior People Advisor who will be instrumental in supporting the development of a just and learning culture. This will include supporting the review and development of people policies and management training packages.

This offers a great opportunity for an engaging, solution-oriented individual to play a vital role in delivering our People advisory service. The role will provide expert advice on a range of complex employee relation cases, including disciplinary processes, grievance, performance management, management of change, TUPE, and absence management.

An element of the role will be increasing the management capacity of line managers by coaching and equipping them with the knowledge and skills to handle staff management responsibilities, aiming to deliver a just, fair, and inclusive culture in line with the Trust's strategic direction.

You should have up-to-date knowledge of employment law and provide professional advice up to and including at hearing panels.

You should have experience working collaboratively with staff, staff side representatives, senior operational managers, and people colleagues.

We are looking for a driven Senior People Advisor who can demonstrate relevant experience of successfully managing a varied and demanding caseload and meeting strict deadlines, as well as the ability to act as a role model and advocate for the People Team and other colleagues.
