Senior Portfolio and Underwriting Actuary

We have partnered with a leading Lloyd's syndicate to find them a Lead Portfolio Actuary to play a pivotal role in optimising portfolio performance. This role will work closely with the CUO, Head of Pricing, and Senior Underwriters to drive data-driven decision-making, enhance underwriting insights, and support strategic planning. This role is not limited to but includes:

• Analysing and optimising portfolio performance, identifying trends and proposing strategic actions.
• Utilising analytics to drive underwriting insights and regularly report findings to senior management.
• Leading business planning exercises, including loss ratio and reinsurance assumption development.
• Supporting reinsurance function by analysing alternative structures and placement adequacy, collaborating with capital modelling teams and brokers.
