Our client is actively looking for a Senior Civils Design Engineer in Rail. The position will be hybrid and focused on a range of Substation design works.

About the Role

Join our team as a Rail Civils Design Engineer and work on major rail infrastructure projects, delivering civil engineering solutions within the railway sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop civil engineering designs for rail projects, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and design assessments.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, and reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for project integration.
• Ensure compliance with Network Rail and Eurocode standards.
• Provide technical input and manage design risks.
• Support technical documentation and design reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's/Master's in Civil Engineering.
• Chartered or working towards Chartered status (ICE or equivalent).
• Experience in rail civil engineering design with a Tier 1 contractor or consultancy.
• Knowledge of rail infrastructure, track, drainage, and structures.
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, etc.).
• Understanding of Network Rail standards and Eurocodes.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
