What's the position?

Reporting to the Director - Data Privacy, as a Senior Data Protection Analyst, you'll help expand Hard Rock Digital's business across multiple jurisdictions. Working hand in hand with the product, marketing, commercial, operations, legal, data, and regulatory teams, you will combine your outstanding knowledge of international privacy compliance and the online gaming industry to enable the future growth and direction of the business.

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Satisfying internal and external reporting requirements by providing timely and accurate information to the DPO.

  • Generating incident reports, investigating, and responding to inquiries or requests from regulators, customers, and staff.

  • Supporting the DPO to represent the company before Supervisory Authorities, gaming regulators, auditors, external agencies, and suppliers as required.

  • Mentoring, coaching, and training junior privacy team members.

  • Working closely with the wider business, providing guidance and analysis on privacy and data protection compliance related matters.

  • Ensuring that all personal data processing by Hard Rock Digital is compliant with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Developing and implementing privacy and data protection compliance policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Working with available technology to automate departmental processes where possible.

  • Monitoring and assessing changes in the regulatory landscape that may impact the organisation, and making recommendations to ensure compliance.

  • Performing assurance monitoring and auditing of business policy and internal controls.

  • Maintaining up-to-date process documentation and procedures as assigned.

  • Maintaining up-to-date Data Maps and Records of Processing for the business.

  • Collaboration with other departments to ensure that compliance is integrated into business decisions and nurturing a living and breathing culture of compliance.


What are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly motivated, results-driven Senior Privacy and Data Protection Analyst to assist with international privacy compliance requirements, and to assist with the establishment of our Privacy Framework.

You will be helping to ensure our organisation complies with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with all departments to provide required reporting, develop and implement compliance policies and procedures, conduct compliance audits, and oversee any staff training requirements.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant bachelor's degree, or professional certifications in a field such as privacy or compliance.

  • 5+ years relevant experience in privacy, data protection, and compliance related roles. Roles in other related fields such as audit or governance will be considered.

  • Experience in a range of regulatory environments and jurisdictions.

  • Expert knowledge of the foundational principles of privacy and data protection.

  • Detailed knowledge of international privacy laws.

  • Experience planning and conducting audits, and reporting on results.

  • A firm grasp of information and basic computer networking.

  • Organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively and work independently while keeping leadership informed and escalating issues where appropriate.

  • Knowledge and experience of working independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams on multiple tasks.

  • The ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels by creating, managing, and nurturing stakeholder relationships.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Spanish and/or Portuguese language proficiency with the ability to read and understand legal texts.
