To orchestrate this complex ballet, Relay relies on a wide range of technologies, from advanced routing and planning to sophisticated user experiences that guide our team members on the ground.
About the role
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own and drive the tech roadmap for our fleet of Last Mile Couriers. Our Last Mile couriers are at the frontline of Relay's network, where the parcel makes its way to the end consumer. Your mission as Senior PM will be to deliver a best-in-class working experience for our Last Mile Couriers whilst driving down our cost base and delivering a step-change in delivery quality.
As the Senior Product Manager for Last Mile at Relay, you can expect to
Own the Product Roadmap for Last Mile: prioritise, scope and deliver any and all Tech initiatives which support the success of our Last Mile Fleet, from improving courier experience to optimising delivery quality and driving a cost-efficient fleet.
Work with user research, design and Operations to come up with initiatives which allow us to 'level up' the overall performance of our Last Mile fleet
Work with Design, Engineering and Data Science to ensure the scope of different features/releases is well defined and documented, and hold the tech team accountable for delivery
With your counterparts in Ops, be accountable for ensuring the Last Mile teams meet their quarterly and annual goals
More generally: be the 'face' of Tech into the rest of the business:
ensure that stakeholder feature requests or initiative ideas are appropriately triaged and prioritised;
Own communicating the product roadmap to the rest of the organisation: make sure stakeholders understand what is on the product roadmap, and why
We are looking for candidates who have
Extensive Product Experience in a fast paced tech company
Experience working in a highly networked business and/or multi-sided marketplace (logistics, on demand food delivery).
Worked on or closely with algorithmic products before (e.g. forecasting and pricing products)
Worked on products which have a strong real-world/physical component to them
Having been in or have worked closely with stakeholders in Operations
You are someone who
Thrives in ambiguous environments where change is the norm
Is biased to action, with a 'done is better than perfect' mindset
