Making a meaningful difference with mission-critical software that empowers communities to thrive.

ReadyTech is more than just a one-trick pony playing in one market with one product, or one customer. We re-imagine, design, develop and deliver technology to solve our customer's diverse problems - supporting multiple businesses across a variety of markets to be ready for anything.

We're an ASX-listed company which means we are stable, have a strong track record of sustainable growth and have a significant number of long-term customers. So, what does this mean for you? It means we can offer you an experience that will push you to be your best, provide career-building challenges, and that will offer you numerous growth opportunities that can't be found in any other company.

It's an inclusive environment where there is no place for politics, where we get our heads together to solve the problems that really matter to our customers, and where we always stay focused on our north star - the communities we serve, and society at large.

The key accountabilities of the role:

  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to develop a roadmap that aligns with the product vision, strategy and core product roadmap, balancing short terms wins and longer-term bets.
  • Define and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring the highest-value features are delivered first.
  • Ensure quality, usability and reliability standards are met.
  • Ensure that new features are launched successfully, enabling the customer to meet their business outcomes.
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement of our product and development processes ensuring they are fit for purpose for our UK team and customer, whilst remaining aligned with Australian processes as appropriate.
  • Continually improve customer satisfaction (Net Promoter Score) and retention outcomes.

The key responsibilities of the role:

  • Be the 'voice of the customer' - championing a customer-centric approach to product and design decision making.
  • Provide line leadership and coaching to team members, helping us to build a well-developed product function in the UK.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to break down business requirements into technical specifications and user stories, translating complex concepts into clear, actionable deliverables.
  • Conduct user research, running customer discovery workshops, gathering requirements and identifying opportunities.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments and ensure alignment with architecture and system design principles.
  • Turn user insights into functional experiences that feel intuitive and intentional of all customer personas.
  • Anticipate implementation challenges, consulting relevant stakeholders to identify risks and trade offs and able to justify a path forward.
  • Ability to influence across business verticals to achieve product objectives.
  • Lead the development planning process, engage in resourcing/capacity planning and review the scope and priority of requirements with stakeholders. Writing detailed, well-structured Jira tickets with acceptance criteria, edge cases, and dependencies.
  • Own the launch of new features and product launches end-to-end, working closely with internal stakeholders across senior leadership, Tech, Design, Marketing, Finance and Delivery.
  • Monitor sprint velocity, team performance and continuous improvement initiatives. Championing Agile best practices, ensuring transparency and iterative product development.

The key requirements of the role:

  • Ability to lead product discovery (conducting customer and market research).
  • Proven leadership, mentoring and coaching experience of product team members.
  • Ability to prioritise, be decisive in areas of responsibility, justify reasons for decisions and deliver iteratively within an Agile framework.
  • Capable of defining iterative release plans with colleagues that deliver value to users early and often.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and ability to influence across different organisational levels.
  • Strong problem-solving ability - leveraging qualitative and quantitative analysis to drive data-led decision making.
  • Strong commercial acumen and growth mindset.
  • Ability to assist engineering teams in translating customer needs into requirements.
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
  • Product discovery best practice processes.
  • Agile delivery methodology.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and an understanding of customer-centric design cloud technologies.
  • Understanding of UI/UX design principles and technical understanding of software development processes, Cloud, APIs, and SQL system architectures advantageous (but not required).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience at a senior level driving the development of an Enterprise SaaS product across the product lifecycle, including experience in writing detailed user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and structuring technical requirements.
  • Experience working as a technical product manager.

  • Digital product management experience in a Justice setting or working on products that serve the Justice market a bonus.
  • Experience in helping to build or establish a product function and best practices a bonus.
  • A proficiency in programming languages, software development methodologies, technical business analysis, or system architecture a plus.
