Senior Product Manager, Open Banking and Account-to-Account Solutions

Visa is launching new capabilities for Account-to-Account (A2A) payment flows, with participation in this space a strategic priority for the business. The UK is one of our priority markets to deploy A2A solutions, and Ireland a fast follower with different EU regulatory framework and market dynamics.
This role in Visa's UK&I Product team is responsible for driving delivery and commercialisation for Visa's account to account and multi-rail products, including the recently announced Visa A2A scheme, across the UK and Ireland markets. The role will interact closely with the A2A Europe hub product team, especially in the early phase of solution design and client validation, but also closely with CS, Pricing and Analytics teams as the product moves into launch and lifecycle.
The Product Senior Manager of A2A solutions will be instrumental in deploying our A2A solutions and rolling out the Visa A2A scheme (Open Banking payment initiated scheme), spending time solutioning with clients across the value chain (Beneficiary, TPPs/PI, Payer FIs) as they come onboard across the various phases of commercialisation. The successful candidate will have a nuanced ability to influence and collaborate across a complex and highly matrixed organisation.
This position will report to the Product Director of A2A solutions UK&I.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the GTM plan for A2A solutions for UK and Ireland, in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including merchant sales, account executives, marketing, and HUB to deliver results on both sides of the issuer and acceptance ecosystem.
- Support defining the Visa-A2A value proposition for the various stakeholders (Beneficiary, TPPs/PI, Payer FIs, and end-Consumers), working closely with Product Marketing to conduct market research to help refine proposition, branding, market positioning or overall strategy.
- Work directly with our Sales organisation (Issuer, Merchants, Acquirers and Business Dev. account team) to commercialise effectively Visa A2A scheme and related solutions, as the primary solution owner and accountable technical sales.
- Work directly with the Product GTM UKI team to establish priorities, pipeline of client opportunities and track commercial progress across clients against the established GTM strategy, sales plan and OKRs (objectives and key results).
- Report and communicate progress, challenges, and achievements both internally and externally and across executive levels.
- Maintain deep technical understanding of the A2A solutions portfolios (including all various components of the A2A scheme offering), including product roadmap, underlying infrastructure stack, technical specs, product upgrades and new releases, etc.
- Collect client feedback and market requirements to drive the Global product development roadmap and GTM for Digital solutions.
- Contribute as required to internal processes and driving decisions with Risk and Legal alongside the Hub team to ensure clear pathways for product delivery - e.g. NBIA etc.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Payment processing technology work experience and understanding of macroeconomics, regulation, consumer behaviour and product operations with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
- Subject Matter expertise: a good understanding of traditional and emerging methods and players in the payments ecosystem (leveraging insights and market research), with specific experience and market understanding in the Account to Account space a distinctive plus.
- Commercial Acumen: Understand product financials and experience in product strategy and commercialisation.
- Technical Acumen: technical understanding of how digital payment technology works and how client infrastructure and product integration processes operate, with a solid understanding of APIs and services a plus.
