Senior Project Manager
You will lead change and transformation initiatives within our Change Portfolio, supporting our function objectives and overall strategy.
You will be required to successfully plan, execute, communicate and deliver projects while ensuring they meet their specific goals, objectives, and constraints. The project manager plays a crucial role in leading the successful delivery of initiatives across change, growth and transformation.
Responsibilities
- Define project scope and objectives: Work with stakeholders to clearly define the scope and objectives of the project, outlining what needs to be accomplished and the desired outcomes.
- Develop a comprehensive project plan: Create a detailed plan that outlines the tasks, timelines, resources, and milestones required to complete the project efficiently, applying project management methodologies ranging from classic waterfall to agile as required.
- Manage resources: Allocate resources and budget effectively to ensure smooth project execution.
- Assess the change impact: Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders.
- Communication: Communicate in a clear and transparent manner supporting the achievement of project goals. Act as a central point of control and coordination to ensure project success. Coordinate and manage external parties including Claims TPA's, external fronting companies and parties across the Munich Re Group. Enable the design, development, delivery and management of key communications.
- Risk management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
- Communication and collaboration: Facilitate effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and other relevant parties, ensuring everyone is on the same page and aware of project progress. Prepare and moderate workshops and other project-related meetings with senior management, functional experts and other stakeholders.
- Quality assurance: Ensure that the project deliverables meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Stakeholder management: Manage stakeholders' expectations and keep them engaged throughout the project.
- Conflict resolution: Address conflicts and challenges that arise within the project team or with stakeholders and escalate and report issues appropriately.
- Project closure and evaluation: Wrap up all loose ends, conduct a project review, and document lessons learned for future improvements.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Significant Project or Change Management experience
- Substantial proven Insurance Industry knowledge
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the London Market
- Proven experience managing complex business, change and/or transformational projects
- Strong understanding of Regulatory Compliance across Insurance
- Proven understanding of Project Management Methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, hybrid approaches)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to translate into actionable recommendations
- Ability to adapt communication methods and approaches to support stakeholders and/or clients
- Knowledge of business analysis techniques and processes
- Good understanding of Data Security and Privacy across Insurance products
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Experience with market-wide initiatives and/or testing
- Experience working on Blueprint2 or industry regulatory projects would be advantageous
- Demonstrated experience working across compliance, regulatory and/or governance projects, engaged with complex IT landscapes
