As a Social Media Manager, you will serve as a day-to-day social contact for clients and account teams with oversight from a Director or above on the Engagement Strategy team. You will collaborate effectively with the account team as needed for client projects/deliverables and understand how social and influencer programming supports clients' overarching objectives and strategies. You will lead the development of project briefs for various types of projects (e.g., content, corporate, influencer), write social copy, and liaise with the creative team on content design. You will hone your problem-solving skills and become a clear and consistent communicator both internally and externally. At this level, you will help set project timelines, develop strategies, proactively providing guidance and direction on social projects, and take on more of a role for new business opportunities. Furthermore, you will take full ownership of multiple projects and effectively communicate recommendations to account teams and clients alike.
This is a hybrid role requiring travel to our London office.
Key Responsibilities: Client Partnership- Begin building client counsel and relationship management skills through regular interaction during client update calls and team meetings.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients' business, unique needs, and mindset of target populations.
- Collaborate with senior members of the social media team to develop social strategies, including channel and content strategy and pillars.
- Communicate creative concepts and ideas to clients effectively.
- Manage assigned project workstreams independently with little oversight and provide progress updates to team members proactively.
- Contribute to tactical planning on assigned social media projects and begin to develop social strategies.
- Develop thought leadership pieces and client POVs.
- Ensure social and influencer programs are compliant with regional healthcare regulations and platform best practices.
- Participate in new business brainstorms and conduct research on new business projects.
- Take on a supporting role in evolving agency social media capabilities.
- Educate agency and client teams on the utility of social media and latest advancements and trends.
- Help develop and attend agency new business presentations.
- Seek training on company processes and procedures.
- Display an ongoing willingness to gain knowledge and make significant contributions to the team.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working across teams and adapt to project needs and different team working styles.
- Work closely and collaboratively with junior team members, serving as a role model and helping to mentor and provide direction on projects as needed.
- Partner effectively with account teams to meet client needs, clearly communicating project objectives, direction, and timing.
- Write and review social content calendars, copy, and creative to ensure optimal delivery and effectiveness.
- Begin to develop and share social recommendations in written and verbal presentations.
- Take the lead in developing a variety of materials including community management guides/SOPs and external community guidelines.
- Maintain deep knowledge of social platform best practices and creative options across Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.
- Encourage and respond to feedback from manager and team members.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in communications, marketing, digital, business or health/science-related field or equivalent experience.
- 4-6 years' communications or related marketing/advocacy/digital/social/health experience; partnership, US/global health issues or health product communications experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working across social platforms and executing programs supporting corporate, branded, and unbranded healthcare and lifestyle initiatives.
- Direct experience working across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Snapchat, YouTube, Google Analytics, with a general understanding of paid social and organic/user-generated content campaigns.
- Possess strong organizational and project management skills.
- Superb internal and external communications skills (verbal, written, listening).
