Job Description

Alloy helps solve the identity risk problem for companies that offer financial products by enabling them to outpace fraud and confidently serve more people around the world. Over 600 of the world's largest financial institutions and fintechs turn to Alloy to take control of fraud, credit, and compliance risk, and grow with the clearest picture of their customers.

What you'll be doing

This Solutions Engineer role, similar to a Sales Engineer or Solutions Consultant, sits within Alloy's pre-sales organisation. You will be a partner who works closely with your account executives to close deals. While an account executive is managing the relationship and taking care of the business requirements, you will be working closely with technical stakeholders to clear any technical hurdles. This includes custom demos, building and walking through UAT environments, designing and managing proof of concept exercises, architecture and security reviews, and ultimately scoping out your proposed solution to hand over to the implementation team.

Who we're looking for

Reporting to the Head of Solutions Engineering UK/EMEA, Alloy is looking for a Solutions Engineer with 3+ years direct experience in a technical presales role. As a Solutions Engineer, you will play a critical role as a technical expert on our EMEA SE Team, aligning Alloy's solutions to customers' business challenges. Successful SEs also demonstrate Alloy core values.

Someone who will stand out likely has many of the following skills and experience:

  • 3+ years of direct experience working in a Solutions Engineering presales role, supporting a technical product and complex enterprise sales process
  • Comfortable working in a small team in a scrappy environment, with a rapidly evolving product set
  • Any experience or knowledge in KYC/KYB, AML regulations, fintech, banking or the fraud and identity landscape
  • Experience selling to financially regulated businesses
  • Superior communication skills and a proven ability to convey intricate technical requirements and ideas to both tech-savvy and business-minded audiences
  • Experience in identifying customer pain points and mapping them to tailored solutions
  • Experience and comfort being the bridge between sales, product, engineering, and professional services
  • Comfort working in ambiguity while maintaining integrity
  • Experience with any object-oriented programming language, or as a minimum, solid experience with API-driven products
  • Ability to travel within EU/EMEA as well as to America for occasional team events and training

We're a lean team, so your impact will be felt immediately, and opportunities will grow as the company scales up. If this all sounds like a good fit for you, why not join us?

Benefits and Perks
  • Unlimited holiday and flexible work policy
  • Pension with employee contribution
  • Up to 100% compensation for 16 weeks of parental leave
  • Home office stipend for new employees
  • Equity plan
  • Commission Plan
  • Training programs to help foster growth (Alloy Foundations, Alloy Lead, etc.)
  • Private health and dental care
