This is a maternity cover position for 12 months.

The Senior Store Designer (Mat Cover) Mission:

To drive our retail growth by leading creative design projects-from store openings and refits to day-to-day team operations. You'll shape the future of our spaces through innovative concepts, new retail formats, and a customer-first approach to design.

How you'll drive success:

  • Lead and manage the team in the creation of all store designs according to principles and guidelines.
  • Create new design store concepts with the goal to become more scalable, including researching materials, fine-tuning details, researching potential cost reductions and translation of the Astrid & Miyu brand & values into the design.
  • Keep track and manage the design team throughout the process of the design to completion in collaboration with project managers, retail, creative, product, marketing and VM.
  • Collaborate with the creative & branding teams to ensure a cohesive omni-channel brand experience.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, landlords and planning to ensure yearly targets for store projects are delivered within budget, on time and according to brand standards.
  • Lead product range rollouts to ensure they meet the needs of the business, budgets and innovative design.
  • Coordinate with external design agencies for the creation of a store, including briefing, managing budget & creative direction to ensure deliverables are handed over in time, on brand and within budget.
  • Support the Retail Director with assessing feasibility of new store locations and projects.
  • Contribute to the company's goals of more sustainable store rollout and construction, maintaining a sustainable and circular mindset at the start of every design.

What you'll need to thrive:

  • Relevant experience within a Senior Store Design or retail design role, alongside management experience.
  • Degree level qualification or higher in a relevant field (Architecture or Interior Design).
  • Our core values resonate with you on a personal level.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign) and Microsoft Office.
  • Adaptable, able to handle multiple projects in line with budget and timelines with confidence.
  • You have a commercial mindset and creative flair, always curious to elevate your work.
  • You have excellent communication skills, able to collaborate with other departments across the business.

The Interview Process and Candidate Experience:

  1. Life Story & Values: A 30 min video call with our Talent Team for us to get to know each other better, asking questions inspired by our three core values.
  2. Experience Interview: A slightly longer video call for you to meet your manager and discuss your skill-set and experience for the role.
  3. Final Interview: 1 hour in-person task interview to complete and present.
