This role could be based from any of the following offices with hybrid working: Reading, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Guildford, Edinburgh, London, or Belfast.

XPS Group is a leading UK consulting and administration business specialising in the pensions and insurance sectors. Our Pensions Advisory business continues to grow and we are now looking for qualified actuaries to join our GMP Equalisation Team.

This is an exciting senior role and would most likely suit someone who enjoys the technical aspects of actuarial work, with plenty of defined benefit pensions experience.

The Role

We are looking for a number of qualified pensions actuaries to join our GMP Equalisation team. In this role you will be working as part of the GMP team to assist clients in equalising pensions for their scheme members. Responsibilities include:

  1. Working with and understanding member data
  2. Reviewing and signing off on complex calculations
  3. Reviewing and signing off on written advice to clients
  4. Communicating results to client teams and supporting them through projects
  5. Regular liaison and communication with the GMP team, client team and other departments
  6. Opportunity to get involved in specialist research and development teams
  7. Training and managing more junior colleagues

Your Profile

Essential Criteria

  • FIA qualification
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in DB pensions industry, in an actuarial role
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
