XPS Group is a leading UK consulting and administration business specialising in the pensions and insurance sectors. Our Pensions Advisory business continues to grow and we are now looking for qualified actuaries to join our GMP Equalisation Team. This is an exciting senior role and would most likely suit someone who enjoys the technical aspects of actuarial work, with plenty of defined benefit pensions experience.

In this role you will be working as part of the GMP team to assist clients in equalising pensions for their scheme members. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Working with and understanding member data
  • Reviewing and signing off on complex calculations
  • Reviewing and signing off on written advice to clients on this topic
  • Communicating results to client teams and supporting them as you work through the projects together. Can include, if desired, delivering advice to clients in meetings.
  • Regular liaison and communication with the GMP team, client team and other departments in XPS.
  • Opportunity to get involved in specialist research and development teams in areas that interest you.
  • Training and managing more junior colleagues as they embark on their actuarial career

Your profile

Essential Criteria

  • FIA qualification
  • Extensive experience in DB pensions industry, in an actuarial role
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
