- You work in the power trading department and optimize our portfolio of flexible assets (i.a. batteries and renewable energies) in the delivery range from years ahead up until very short-term highly volatile electricity and grid service markets.
- Developing and improving our algorithmic trading to maximize returns by applying and monitoring state-of-the-art trading strategies (e.g. real option models).
- Management and optimization of portfolio positions, asset constraints considering market conditions and corporate objectives.
- Close collaboration with the Risk Management and Market Analytics teams to enhance trading decisions.
- Cross-functional collaboration with our dedicated Trading Tech Team(s) to foster robust and automated trading operations.
- Reporting and presentation of trading results, including deriving recommendations for senior management.
- You have a degree in energy economics, business administration, finance, or a related field. Candidates with different trading backgrounds or candidates with energy trading experience but no economics degree are also welcome.
- You bring several years of experience in commodity trading, ideally with a focus on power.
- You have ideally first experience in optimizing renewable and/or battery portfolios.
- You are familiar with algo- and option trading technologies and algorithms, which is a plus.
- You have a deep knowledge of energy trading markets, market mechanisms, and regulatory requirements.
- You have strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly interpret complex market data and turn it into profitable decisions.
- You have experience with state-of-the-art trading systems and tools.
- You are a team player with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, results-oriented environment.
- You are fluent in English - written and spoken; the ability to speak and read German is a big plus.
