Senior Underwriter - Real Estate (Global)

My client, a leading global insurer, is seeking an experienced Underwriter with expertise in Commercial Property or Real Estate to join a dynamic and ambitious team in a senior, influential role. This position involves handling large, multimillion-pound risks, so they're seeking someone confident and experienced in this space.

Salary: £75,000-£85,000
Location: City of London
Hybrid: 2-3 days in the office

As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting profitable business within a defined portfolio, engaging directly with brokers through face-to-face meetings and fostering strong, long-term relationships. You will play a key role in driving growth through both new business and renewals.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Commercial Property underwriting, with specific expertise in Real Estate and some international exposure. However, while global experience is advantageous, my client is also open to technical UK-focused underwriters looking to expand into an international role. Strong broker-facing experience, including the ability to negotiate and build lasting partnerships, is essential.
