Tern Vets is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Senior Veterinary Surgeon to help shape the future of Tern Vets. We're keen to offer relocation support of up to £5000, as well as a welcome bonus of up to £5000 (pro rata).

About the role

Join our team and play a pivotal role in the growth and development of our clinical staff. As a Senior Vet, you will be responsible for your own clinical workload, as well as working alongside practice management to ensure the successful day-to-day running of the practice and undertake some management responsibilities. We're eager to tailor the clinical caseload around your own specific interests where possible.

Working hours that work for you

We understand that everyone has unique needs and commitments, which is why we offer part-time and flexible hours to suit all lifestyles. Whether you're managing family responsibilities, continuing your education, or pursuing other interests, our adaptable scheduling options ensure you can achieve the perfect work-life balance. The role would typically entail working up to 40 hours per week (including weekends as determined by our rota). No out of hours or on-call required!

About our practice

We have a team composed of vets on both full and part-time hours, along with our experienced nursing team that's made up of RVNs and SVNs. Our veterinary team holds certificates in Feline Medicine, Dermatology and Advanced Veterinary Practice (emergency and critical care and soft tissue modules). The successful candidate will be welcomed, well supported where necessary but also given clinical freedom. We are a current, progressive and collaborative practice who strive to keep looking forward. We have well-equipped consulting rooms, 2 operating theatres at each site, imaging suite with x-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy, laparoscopic bitch spay equipment, Tonopen and dental facilities.

North Shropshire has the advantage of being rural and beautiful, perfect for dog walking, horse riding, wild water swimming, mountain biking etc. Whilst being within easy access of Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool.
