We are looking to recruit a SHE Manager to join a Civil Engineering company based in Oxford. Responsibilities for SHE Manager

  • Overseeing and ensuring that safety audits are effectively carried out across all sites.
  • Leading and managing accident and incident investigations, ensuring corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
  • Supporting and guiding site teams to instil a strong and proactive safety culture.
  • Travelling regularly to project sites with a hands-on leadership approach.
  • Overseeing Inductions, RAMS reviews, FFT, PAT Testing, NERS / ISO compliance, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Providing strategic health and safety leadership aligned with company objectives and industry standards.
  • Mentoring and developing SHEQ Advisors and other team members.
  • Working closely with the senior management team to integrate safety into all operational processes.
  • Spending approximately 80% of time on-site, with flexibility to work from home when appropriate.

Requirements for SHE Manager

  • 4+ years' experience in a SHE or SHEQ management role within a civil engineering or construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and industry best practices.
  • CSCS Card
  • IOSH / NEBOSH Certification (Diploma preferred or working towards)
  • CITB Health & Safety Awareness
  • Mental Health First Aid
  • Willingness to travel UK wide
  • Experience in training, mentoring, and influencing operational teams.
