Job overview

This truly is an exciting time to join North Manchester General Hospital.

We are currently designing our new critical care unit in the new hospital development, having joined Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust in April 2021.

Critical care at North Manchester General Hospital consists of 12 beds, supporting both Level 2 and 3 patients. The unit has a wide range of specialities including general medical and surgical patients, and infectious diseases.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced nurse who can bring enthusiasm and energy to the Sister/Charge Nurse role in Critical Care.

You will form part of the senior nursing team, working in partnership with both the Senior and Lead nurses, contributing to further developing quality and patient experience agendas and playing a fundamental part in driving forward the MFT values.

On each shift, you will have specific responsibility for leading and developing a nursing team within the critical care service, providing leadership on quality including patient experience, patient safety, clinical governance, and regulatory compliance. Fundamental to this is the development of a culture where excellent quality patient care is at the heart of all that we do.

In return, you will work in a well-established nursing and managerial team and be provided with excellent personal and professional development opportunities.
