We have 2 exciting opportunites for Qualified Social Workers to join Cardiff Social Services on a remote basis until the end of March 2025. Pay rate is dependent upon level of experience. PAYE options are available. Full and part time candidates will be considered. Car drivers are required. Posts have derived as a part of the 50 day challenge.
The successful candidates will need to have good verbal and written skills and have basic computer knowledge. You will need to be organised, self-motivated and able to prioritise competing job demands as well as being creative and have a strong belief in empowering adults towards independence. In both roles you will be giving a list of reviews that need to be undertaken across Cardiff. The first role sits within the Dementia Care Quality Team and is a fully remote role. The 2nd role falls under the review service and offers hybrid working. An onsite day is required on a Thursday. You will also form part of the back up duty rota.
You will be expected to understand and work within Safeguarding policies and the Mental Capacity Act 2005. An understanding of Continuing Health Care and Care and Treatment planning under the Mental Health Measure (Wales) 2010 would be helpful. We work to a preventative, strength based model under the principles of the Social Services and Wellbeing Act 2014.
You must hold a recognised Social Work qualification and be registered as a 'Social Worker' with the Social Care Wales on appointment.
