In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As an AWS DevOps Engineer in IBM CIC, you'll serve as a leader in defining solutions for clients. You'll identify insights and tasks that can be automated.

Your primary responsibilities include:

1. Design, analyze, and troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems.
2. Participate in on-call rotation, engage with product teams to fix production outages, and carry forward action items to improve ongoing reliability.
3. Develop effective tooling, alerts, and response to both identify and address reliability risks including automatic problem detection and mitigation.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Experience in AWS management including; EC2 Instances and Auto Scaling Groups, RDS, VPCs, SQS, Elasticsearch Service.
• Experience with Python or Java.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in writing unit tests and/or functional tests.
• Experience in Docker and Kubernetes.
