Salary: £89,800 - £112,250 plus London Weighting Allowance £5,319 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Location - London, TVC, This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working.

THE ROLEWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to lead several teams of talented engineers in delivering high-impact, scalable, and innovative solutions for This role is crucial to driving the technical direction, team development, and successful delivery of projects that align with our company's goals and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Development- Responsible for recruitment, onboarding, and retaining top engineering talent.
- Provide mentorship and career development for team members, fostering a growth-oriented environment.
- Setting clear expectations and managing performance to ensure accountability and high standards.
- Guide the team in architecting, building, and maintaining robust, scalable systems.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical feedback when needed.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in software engineering, including coding standards, testing, and documentation.
- Align team objectives with company goals and business priorities.
- Develop and execute project plans, balancing feature delivery, technical debt, and team capacity.
- Identify, mitigate, and communicate risks to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
- Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to ensure well-defined requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
- Drive alignment and build consensus across different functions and teams.
KEY CRITERIA
- Proven experience with designing and scaling distributed systems.
- Hands-on coding experience and the ability to contribute or guide technically when necessary.
- Experience managing performance, resolving conflicts, and fostering team alignment.
- Expertise in Agile methodologies and managing iterative development processes.
- Experience driving data-driven decision-making and measuring success through metrics and KPIs.
- Leadership experience in mentoring, developing, and retaining top engineering talent.
- Strong foundation in computer programming principles, including data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and system design.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
- Previous experience as an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role.
- Experience working with large-scale, consumer-facing systems.
- Demonstrated track record of driving organisational change and innovation.
