Job Description Summary:

  • Collaborating with Product Owners, Platform Leads, Enterprise Architects & Engineers to create the Architectural runway for our Platform teams.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture & service providers to elaborate on solutions, their interfaces and validating technology assumptions.
  • Providing analysis of options and deliver end-to-end solution designs.
  • Promoting adaptive design practices to drive collaboration across Platform teams.
  • Owning the technical design risks or issues.
  • Participating in Agile ceremonies, eliciting requirements, and shaping designs or prototypes.
  • Leveraging industry best practices in creating opportunities & value for our customers.
  • Contributing to the financial investment process for key solution opportunities.
  • Setting guiding principles and solution success criteria.
  • Providing oversight & fostering built-in quality, decoupled & modernized architectures.
  • Supporting Product Owners & Platform Leads in identifying software & infrastructure currency risks.

Job Title: Solution Architect

Location: London or Edinburgh

Hours: Full-time - 35 hours per week

Working Pattern: Hybrid, at least two days per week in the office.

What you'll do:

  • Lead approaches to solving technical challenges and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Drive efforts to create, build, support and improve our software.
  • Ensure good quality and engineering practices are followed.

What you'll need:

  • Prior experience in a solution architecture position.
  • Strong knowledge of microservices, containerization, cloud-native and event-driven design concepts.
  • Good knowledge of infrastructure and security architecture practices.
  • Experience with API Gateways & Management Platforms.
  • Cloud Platform as a Service experience.

It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience in the banking and finance industry.
  • Experience with Process Automation.
  • Preferable experience with Python and Big Data technologies.
