At Gigs, we're building the operating system for mobile services - a platform that enables tech companies to seamlessly embed connectivity into their products.

Like Stripe enables payment buttons in any product, Gigs enables businesses to add a connect button and issue SIMs with a click. From fintechs launching mobile services to HRIS platforms offering work phone plans, we automate phone plan provisioning.

We're solving complex technical, operational and regulatory challenges to make this a reality. Since 2020, we've grown to a team of around 90 people across the US and Europe, bringing together an experienced team of early-stage engineers, product builders and business athletes from companies like Stripe, Airbnb and Shopify. We know what it takes to solve hard problems.

About the team

Have you thought about how to explain mobile services to someone who might have never even purchased a mobile subscription themselves? How does it work? What can and can't it do? What does it take to set it up and integrate? How do you built something great?

That is the role.

At Gigs, Solutions Engineering is part of Product. Nonetheless, we work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Brand Design and pretty much every team at Gigs. Being part of Product means we have a strong connection to our developers and product teams, both them providing us strong support, but us also providing them with continuous feedback.

We live in a world where Solutions Engineer isn't a standardized role, so we wanted to share our definition of the role. Solution Engineers at Gigs focus on the pre-sales process, partnering with Sales to work with the technical and product stakeholders at our partners. We strive to build good relations with those stakeholders, while explaining and demoing the Gigs product, providing advice & insights on their integration and product, while continually feeding back to Gigs' product teams our learnings.

To succeed in the role you need to have a good technical background (at least reading & understanding unfamiliar code), product minded (understand the possibilities of Gigs products and how they intersect with customer goals), great at teamwork while being self-sufficient, and ready to adapt any second to new scenarios.

The position
  • You'll serve as a key technical contact with our customers and partners. You'll work with our customer's engineering and product teams as they integrate with Gigs.
  • You'll act as a cross-functional technical liaison for the Growth, Sales, Marketing, and Business Development teams. You'll drive collaboration across teams to influence and unify stakeholders at all levels of the organization. You'll establish strong relationships with key decision-makers and build credibility at all levels.
  • You'll build product examples, documentation, and other critical resources. You'll lead and support the team in complex evaluations, problem-solving and challenging customer environments.
  • You'll think of new ideas & solutions. You'll discover ways of solving customers that haven't been thought of before, improving our customer's experience.
  • You'll act as an escalation point for pre-sales and post-sales technical issues that arise. You'll champion the voice of our users and customers to influence product direction and feature priorities.
  • You'll stay current on industry trends and competitive dynamics. You'll leverage this knowledge to shape strategy around engagements.
About you
  • You've built something before. We love builders. Our idea of great execution is turning our customers into brand advocates.
  • Technical experience. You might have worked in a technical role, as a developer, or you enjoy tinkering in your own time.
  • Technical pre-sales. You have a track record from a world-class solution/sales architecture/engineering team, ideally in a SaaS or technical company.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to foster deep relationships. You have excellent communication and effective group-facilitation skills. You have confidence in proposing and leading customer meetings to gain strategic footing and pursue opportunities.
  • Experience working with customers and explaining technical products. You like to optimize and you have a customer-first attitude with a strong sense of empathy. You have deep understanding of developing human centric CX experiences, middleware, enterprise systems and architecture.
  • You have attended a top-tier college or university and worked in a high-growth environment at a technology company.
  • You're great at balancing the need for quality, speed, and experience. You understand what needs to be done for customers to feel cared for, while delivering a quality you can be proud of.
