About the Team
This is a newly established role within our Core Product Market Fit team, designed to bridge the gap between technology and business. As a Solution Engineering Manager, you'll work closely with merchants, clients, and internal teams, ensuring seamless technical integrations while driving strategic growth. You'll be part of a small but high-impact team, working in a hybrid setup with some travel within the UK.
About the Role
We're looking for a technical leader who can blend deep technical expertise with strong business acumen. This role requires someone who can sit between all functions-understanding technical infrastructure while also navigating client needs, sales strategies, and market demands. Whether coming from a pre-sales engineering, solution architecture, or CSM background, the ideal candidate is equally comfortable engaging with engineering teams and external stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Act as the technical bridge between engineering, product, sales, and clients, ensuring smooth integration and alignment.
- Engage with merchants and enterprise clients, understanding their needs and translating them into technical solutions.
- Own the solution engineering process, from pre-sales discussions to implementation, ensuring scalability and long-term success.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the technical roadmap and improve our market fit.
- Work in a hybrid model, with travel across the UK and virtual engagements.
- Drive technical innovation, ensuring our solutions remain competitive and aligned with business goals.
Who You Are and What You Bring to the Table
- Strong technical background, capable of engaging with engineering teams and understanding complex infrastructures.
- Experience in enterprise environments-this is a must-have to understand the timeframes, workflows, and challenges of large-scale clients.
- A blend of technical and business skills-able to speak the language of both engineers and clients.
- Previous experience in solution engineering, pre-sales, solution architecture, or customer success management (CSM).
- Ability to navigate a fast-paced, small-team environment, taking ownership and being proactive.
- Comfortable with hybrid work and travel within the UK.
- A strategic thinker with a passion for scaling solutions and driving product-market fit.
