Our client has a new STAFF opportunity for a Specialist Machinist

NRL's manufacturing client based in Renfrew is looking to recruit a Specialist Machinist to join them on a permanent staff basis.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the upkeep and maintenance of department bespoke equipment.
  • Supporting the conclusion of unplanned technical challenges that may occur during the on-site delivery of the products.
  • Providing technical support in the field of Specialist Machining to support the continued growth and development of our client's Valve Refurbishment and Cross Fleet Tube Plugging and On-Site Machining products.

What will you need?

  • Must have a recognised qualification such as SVQ/ City and Guilds in Engineering or similar.
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar or transferable role.
  • Time Served Machinists preferred; however, qualifications may be replaced by a proven track record and applicable experience in a similar role.
  • Technician to have a technical competence (on conclusion of training) in the operation of the following equipment: Cross Fleet Tube Plugging Equipment, Valve Seat Replacement Equipment and General & Bespoke Machining Equipment. An appreciation of welding techniques and basic Commercial Awareness, particularly relating to change management, is also required.
  • A key element of this role is extended and short notice site delivery requirements, therefore, a willingness to upskill and a desire to travel to various customer sites at short notice is required.
