About Vendor Consultant Program
The Vendor Consultant Program within Amazon RBS organization is responsible for managing operational business metrics and related tasks for JP AVS vendors. These metrics require minimal financial judgment or commercial negotiations. Our goal is to deliver high-quality service through a dedicated team of vendor consultants, who act as primary owners of business metrics for their assigned vendors. Our primary customers are vendors subscribing to the AVS service to grow their presence on Amazon. We aim to exceed vendor expectations by enhancing their growth through improved metric performance.

About the Role
As a Sr. Subject Matter Expert, you will interact directly with Amazon internal customers and global teams to develop workflows that improve business metrics for JP AVS vendors. You will streamline processes, manage requirement changes, and ensure high-quality service delivery according to agreed SLAs. Your focus will be on building end-to-end solutions and process excellence mechanisms.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Provide subject matter expertise, create knowledge resources, standardize SOPs, and develop comprehensive playbooks for vendor consultants.
  2. Identify key business impact metrics, align with stakeholders, establish and report these metrics across WW MPs.
  3. Onboard new tasks for VCP by coordinating with Retail teams, evaluating task impacts, and establishing appropriate processes.
  4. Develop a clear strategy with a control plan at a GL level, review weekly, and make decisions based on metric fluctuations.
  5. Collaborate with domestic and global cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and exceed business metric goals.
  6. Deeply understand upstream systems and processes that lead to product defects.
  7. Use data analysis to identify gaps, structure initiatives, recommend solutions, and build consensus on strategic decisions.
  8. Improve SOPs and eliminate defects through process improvements or automation, working with stakeholders.
  9. Lead projects related to metric delivery, process optimization, defect elimination, and technical solutions.
  10. Achieve business metrics and quality goals through comprehensive solution design.
  11. Work with teams to streamline VCP processes, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 2 years of program or project management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
  • Data-driven decision-making experience.
  • Ability to interpret data and make business recommendations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Tableau.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce product listing and catalog management.
