We are excited to offer a position within Ward 9 - Respiratory Medicine at Wexham Park Hospital, part of the Medicine Directorate.
Ward 9 is a 16-bed unit specialising in the care of patients with respiratory conditions, including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease (ILD), and more. Our team also provides expert care for patients with tracheostomies, laryngectomies, home NIV machines, and chest drains.

Main duties of the job- Provision of nursing care for patients with a variety of acute conditions
- Co-ordinating the care of patients across the multi-disciplinary team
- Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual patient care with minimal supervision
- To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that treatments are correctly carried out in accordance with given policy

Person Specification Qualifications- NMC Registration
- ILS
- Recent experience within an acute medical nursing environment
- Competent in basic life support and IV administration
- Able to prioritise workload (self and others) and meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to manage difficult/stressful situations
- Effective working with multidisciplinary teams
- Able to work flexible shifts, weekends, and bank holidays as required
- To work in other areas of the department when required
