Job Description

Staff Nurse - General Surgery
Location: The London Bridge Hospital
Time Type: Full time (37.5 hours per week)
Shift Times: Monday - Sunday (flexibility required to work long days, nights, and weekends)

Contract: Permanent
Salary: Competitive (DOE) plus 9% shift allowance

We're looking for a Staff Nurse to join the General Surgery inpatients ward at The London Bridge Hospital, currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC.

As the Staff Nurse, working within our surgical unit, you will plan, deliver, and evaluate high standards of nursing care for Colorectal, Hepatobiliary, Liver and renal transplants, Maxillofacials, Breast surgery patients alongside other general surgery specialties. You'll demonstrate good clinical practice at all times, be accountable for your own actions, and contribute to the setting of clinical standards, policy and procedures, and research-based care as part of a wide multidisciplinary team.

With 160 beds, 22 ICU beds, and 10 operating theatres, we offer our patients exceptional treatment across a multitude of acute and complex care and have access to the latest technologies and healthcare innovations.

What you'll bring:

  • Registered Nurse Level 1
  • NMC Registration and PREP requirements
  • Post-graduate experience of a broad range of surgical procedures
  • Basic life support
