Job Description

Required to join our client who is a nationwide Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy in their London office, with a workload of 80% repeat customers. The Structural Engineer would be working on a range of projects, primarily in the Residential sector, and will be rewarded with a range of excellent benefits and a salary of up to £45,000, possibly more for an exceptional candidate.

This is a new role that has arisen due to new business and an Engineer leaving to go traveling. The company has a very low turnover of staff. The Structural Engineer will have development potential as the company grows across all offices, providing a clear path to Principal and Associate positions. This opportunity will support a candidate towards Chartership with the ICE or IStructE.

Minimum Requirements
  • A BEng or MEng in Civil / Structural Engineering or Engineering Design and membership in the relevant body such as the IStructE
  • Up to 3 years' experience within a UK Consultancy
  • Experience with TEKLA Structural Designer, Robot, and TEDDS
  • Ability to design to British Standards or Eurocode
  • Knowledge of steel, concrete, timber, and load-bearing masonry structures is essential
  • Experience across several sectors - Commercial, Educational, Residential, Health, and Leisure
  • Experience in conceptual design and project management including programming works
  • Attending Client Meetings
  • Scheme Design
  • Work on all aspects of projects, from conceptual scheme design to construction on site
  • Manage relationships with clients, contractors, and design teams
  • Model and design using cutting-edge software
  • Write reports and liaise with contractors and clients
  • Receive on-the-job training and mentoring from industry-leading professionals
