A leading international law firm is seeking a Tax Associate to join their dynamic tax team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified solicitor to take on a pivotal role within a firm known for their global reach and impressive client roster.
Position OverviewAs a Tax Associate, you will work as part of a close-knit team on a wide range of challenging domestic and international tax projects. Your work will primarily involve delivering expert tax planning, advisory, and transactional support to the firm's clients. You will play a key role in providing clear, commercially-focused advice to clients while also contributing to the development and execution of the firm's business development strategy.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality tax planning, advisory, and transactional support on a broad range of domestic and international projects.
- Deliver clear, commercially-focused tax advice to clients while demonstrating a strong grasp of the underlying business context.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across the firm to deliver seamless, integrated services to clients.
- Contribute to the development and execution of effective business development strategies to drive growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in tax legislation and proactively identify new opportunities to support clients.
- Assist with the development and mentoring of junior team members.
- Qualified solicitor with at least 1-5 years of UK tax experience gained at a top-tier international law firm.
- Exposure to a mix of tax planning, advisory, and transactional work.
- Excellent technical knowledge of UK tax law coupled with strong commercial acumen.
- Proactive and adaptable approach with a focus on delivering reliable, responsive, and high-quality client service.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Enthusiastic team player with a client-centric mindset.
- Keen interest in business development and a commitment to supporting the growth of the tax practice.
- Strong academic record with a minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent.
