DAZN is looking for a Technical Producer to take charge of the technical planning and execution of our live outside broadcast productions. You'll play a key role in delivering top-tier coverage of Queensberry Promotions boxing events and other high-profile sports productions across our global platform.
Working as a Technical Producer at DAZN in Hammersmith, especially on Queensberry Boxing, means being at the forefront of live sports broadcasting. You'll handle complex outside broadcast setups, liaise with top-tier suppliers, and ensure flawless event execution. As our new Technical Producer, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Own the Technical Planning - Develop detailed planning sheets and oversee every aspect of event technology.
- Manage Supplier Relationships - Work closely with external technical suppliers to ensure seamless event execution within budget.
- Lead On-Site Delivery - Travel to venues for site surveys and oversee setup, ensuring all rigging and technical installations meet agreed specifications.
- Be the Go-To Expert On-Site - Act as the key technical contact for promoters, local organisers, and clients to guarantee smooth broadcast signal delivery.
- Troubleshoot & Solve Issues in Real-Time - Serve as the first point of escalation for any on-site technical challenges.
- Ensure Broadcast Readiness - Run facilities checks, assist with transmission line-ups, and collaborate with our Transmission Broadcast Operations team to optimise workflows.
- Drive Continuous Improvement - Review each event, identify opportunities for enhancement, and implement learnings to elevate future productions.
- Explore New Technologies - Assess and introduce innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and production quality.
You'll have:
- Strong knowledge of live OB technical workflows (SDI, IP, SDR, HDR).
- Familiarity with emerging broadcast technologies and their practical applications.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Understanding of SDR & HDR video formats and multi-audio configurations.
- Passion for continuous learning and adapting to new technical advancements.
- This role is based in our Hammersmith office, with frequent on-site work at live events.
- You'll work a 5-day week, including weekends (with time off in lieu after events).
- International travel opportunities may arise as part of the role.
