About the Role

As the TPMO Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting and overseeing a portfolio of technology-led projects. Reporting to the Head of Technology PMO, you'll act as a central point of coordination and control-ensuring projects stay on track, aligned to business goals, and delivered efficiently. Think of the TPMO as the "air traffic control" for all technology change: keeping everything running smoothly and identifying issues before they become problems.

Location - Hybrid, UK based only. (with occasional travel to London and Peterborough offices)

Your responsibilities

  1. Partner with the Head of Technology PMO to track and report commercial progress across the portfolio, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  2. Collect and analyse data from projects (status, financials, resources, risks, milestones) to maintain a clear, portfolio-wide view.
  3. Challenge project reporting where needed to ensure status updates reflect actual progress.
  4. Maintain and monitor the overall delivery roadmap, identifying interdependencies and potential impacts across initiatives.
  5. Support financial and benefits tracking, resource forecasting, and risk management at the portfolio level.
  6. Assist with the technology demand process and help progress new ideas through business case development.
  7. Promote best practices in project governance and ensure compliance with Bauer's Change Delivery Framework.
  8. Build strong relationships with stakeholders, resolving conflicts and aligning delivery objectives.
  9. Contribute to MI, metrics, and KPI reporting to improve visibility and drive performance.
  10. Drive process improvements in partnership with the Technology COO Office to enhance delivery consistency and transparency.

What You'll Bring

  1. Experience working in a PMO or portfolio role within a technology or change delivery environment
  2. Strong understanding of portfolio and project management methods
  3. Confidence working with data, reports, financials and resource planning
  4. Strong analytical skills and ability to understand a problem and generate solutions
  5. Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with all kinds of stakeholders
  6. A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
  7. Familiarity with both Agile and traditional delivery environments
  8. Project/PMO certifications (e.g. PRINCE2, MoP, PMI) are a plus
  9. Solid Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and Teams
