Telecommunications Project Manager (Freelance)

Project Overview:

This role is focused on leading a large-scale Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) and Fiber-to-the-Premises (FTTP) rollout project as part of a broader Program. The project involves the preparation and deployment of fiber infrastructure to residential and business locations, ensuring seamless network expansion. The mission requires both strategic planning and hands-on execution, making this a critical role in the success of the program.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Project Management & Strategy: Lead the FTTH/FTTP rollout program with a structured approach, ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met.
• Process Management: Oversee rollout processes, process streams, and assurance processes, ensuring operational efficiency and best practices.
• Site Coordination & Partner Engagement: Engage with local teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. Basic Dutch knowledge is required to communicate effectively with site teams.
• Proactive Planning: Develop long-term strategies for fiber rollout, identifying potential roadblocks and proactively implementing solutions.
• Technical Oversight: Work on fiber infrastructure deployment, including aspects of burning fiber platforms and ensuring technical standards are met.
• Execution & Follow-ups: Ensure timely execution of all project phases while maintaining a strong follow-up system to track progress and resolve issues.
• Onsite Presence: Work on-site five days a week initially, with a potential reduction to four days after some time.

Candidate Requirements:

• 7-10 years of Project Management experience in large-scale infrastructure or telecommunications projects.
• Strong expertise in project execution, process management, and rollout methodologies.
• Knowledge of FTTH/FTTP technologies and fiber network deployment is highly desirable.
• Experience in managing burning fiber platforms and ensuring smooth infrastructure rollouts.
• Ability to work independently, build long-term strategies, and drive proactive decision-making.
• Dutch language skills are a significant advantage for effective communication on-site.
• Strong organization, structured planning, and the ability to work without close supervision.
• Immediate availability preferred, but candidates available by early April will be considered.
