An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Trainee/Qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our vibrant team at Branchalwood Medical Practice. Our team consists of: 2 GP Partners, 3 ANPs, 1 PNs, 1 Pharmacist, a wider clinical team and a large admin team. We provide care for over 6,000 patients in the Wishaw (and surrounding areas) community and six Care Homes/Special Hospitals in the area. We are a training practice supporting NHS GP Trainees and Trainee ANPs. We place great value on personal development and are committed to the continuous development of our staff within their roles.

We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner who has significant post-registration experience. We will consider applications from both Nurses looking for the next step in their career, and fully qualified ANPs. The right candidate must be able to assess, diagnose and treat appropriately within their scope, must be a Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration and hold a relevant nursing degree. NMC Independent Nurse Prescribing Certification/post-graduate Advanced Clinical Practice qualification is desirable; however, those who do not possess this will still be considered as we can support the achievement of this while in post.

Experience of general practice is not required for this post; full training will be provided. Additionally, the right candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication, and proficient IT/computer skills. Knowledge of Vision/Docman clinical systems is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

This post will initially be to cover maternity leave with a view to a permanent contract thereafter. We are looking for full-time candidates; however, we would also consider part-time if this is preferred.
