Travel Underwriter

Travel Underwriter | General Insurer | Remote | £65 - 75,000 (doe)

Finitas are working with a growing Insurtech in their search for a Travel Underwriter to join their team.

This is a newly created role due to good company growth and you will have the opportunity to work both independently and collaborative with the team to help drive forward the company's growth.

Some of your responsibilities will include but are not limited to

• Developing and managing the travel insurance portfolio.
• Developing and monitoring policy wordings, underwriting rules, and guidelines.
• Managing product, rate, and wording development.
• Collaborating on new products and partner implementations.
• Participating in monthly loss analysis, claims payment planning, reserves, and contribution transfers.

Experience required:

• 5+ years of insurance and underwriting experience, preferably in an A&H or travel role
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to collaborate with a global underwriting and actuarial team across time zones.
• Experience writing and executing underwriting and reinsurance referrals.
• Strong analytical skills.
