Contract: Full-Time
About Cox Automotive Europe
Cox Automotive Europe is a leader in next-generation mobility and automotive solutions,
empowering dealers, OEMs, fleets, and retailers across 15+ European markets. We're
undergoing a groundbreaking digital transformation to redefine how automotive businesses
connect, transact, and grow. Join us to shape the future of automotive services at scale.
Role Overview
As UX Designer, you'll translate service blueprints and ecosystem strategies into intuitive,
visually compelling interfaces. Reporting to the Lead Service Designer, you'll focus on the
digital touchpoints of our platform (e.g., dealer dashboards, buyer portals, Salesforce
integrations) while ensuring alignment with end-to-end service workflows. This role demands
a balance of user empathy, systems thinking, and pixel-perfect execution to bridge service
design principles with actionable UI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Service-Driven UX
- Partner with the Lead Service Designer to transform service blueprints (e.g., cross-border
inventory workflows, dealer onboarding) into user journeys and wireframes.
- Design interfaces that reflect both frontstage interactions (e.g., dealer pricing tools) and
backstage processes (e.g., compliance checks, Salesforce automations).
2. Interface Design & Prototyping
- Create high-fidelity prototypes (Figma, Adobe XD) for key workflows:
- Decision Engine Dashboards: Visualising AI-driven insights (e.g., desirability scores,
pricing recommendations).
- Marketplace Portals: Buyer/dealer interfaces for stock discovery, auctions, and
transactions.
- Salesforce Integrations: Streamlining CRM workflows for account management and
billing.
- Ensure designs adhere to accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and regional UX norms
(e.g., GDPR-compliant consent flows). 3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Data Scientists to simplify complex analytics into digestible UI patterns (e.g.,
predictive demand heatmaps).
- Partner with Developers to ensure feasibility and advocate for design integrity during
implementation.
- Support Marketing with UX principles for localised landing pages and lead-capture forms.
4. User Research & Testing
- Conduct usability tests with dealers, OEMs, and buyers to validate designs.
- Synthesise feedback into iterative improvements (e.g., reducing clicks for bulk inventory
uploads).
- Map pain points to service design opportunities (e.g., "Why do dealers bypass the pricing
tool?").
5. Design System Stewardship
- Evolve our pan-European design system to balance consistency with local market needs
(e.g., colour psychology in Germany vs. Spain).
- Document UI components, micro-interactions, and design tokens for reuse across
squads.
Qualifications
Essential
- 5+ years in UX/UI Design, with a portfolio showcasing B2B/complex ecosystem projects
(marketplaces, SaaS platforms, or automotive/fintech tools).
- Expertise in Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch, plus prototyping tools (ProtoPie, Framer).
- Proven ability to align UI design with service blueprints and multi-stakeholder journeys.
- Strong understanding of design systems, accessibility standards, and Agile workflows.
- Experience conducting user research and translating insights into wireframes.
Desired
- Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning Design System or CRM interfaces.
- Knowledge of AI/ML-driven UI patterns (e.g., contextual recommendations, predictive
inputs).
- Experience with service design tools (Miro, JourneyMap) or workshops.
- Fluency in German, French, or Spanish.
