The Ramboll VT team covers the demand of services for vertical people movement across all locations for Ramboll Globe. We work on a spectrum of services, from innovative design solutions for top high-rise buildings and landmarks across the world, to building surveys and modernisation of existing schemes.

The Vertical Transportation TeamOur Vertical Transportation team boasts an extensive portfolio of projects, both ongoing and in the pipeline, with a global reach and across diverse sectors. The continuous expansion of our project portfolio reflects our commitment to excellence and innovation in the field of Vertical Transportation.
With an already established team, we find ourselves in the next phase of expansion and development, presenting a unique opportunity for you to contribute to our future success and be an integral part of our expanding group. You will join a dynamic team and contribute to a diverse range of projects across all sectors, including residential, commercial, healthcare, higher education, among others; and our projects vary from very high-rise (100+ storeys) to accessibility solutions in low-rise buildings.
As a Vertical Transportation specialist at Ramboll, you will be involved in the design and delivery of Vertical Transportation and People Movement strategies, from competition stage to practical completion post-installation. These will involve (not exclusive):
- People flow simulations in buildings using Elevate.
- The study and understanding of human behaviour, both in normal circumstances and during a building emergency;
- Coordination with major lift and escalator suppliers to understand their products and bespoke solutions;
- Collaboration with stakeholders regarding accessibility, fire evacuation and goods movements;
- Dimensional planning of the main building cores.
- Technical drawings review.
- Site activities supported by expert professionals, involving installation monitoring and condition surveys.
You will become a part of the Buildings department, which includes Building Services, Structures, Civil, Facades, Acoustics and many more specialist teams. Your role will allow you to collaborate with all disciplines, providing growth and knowledge to enhance your engineering competence.
We embrace flexible and hybrid working but we also value in-person collaboration, currently looking to expand our London team.
