Job Description

Here at Berry House, we have an opportunity for an enthusiastic veterinary surgeon to join our team on a permanent basis. This role would suit an experienced vet who is confident with a mixture of both consulting and operating.

Work life balance that tips the scale

We are all about ensuring our staff get the perfect work life balance that suits their lifestyle which is why we allow our Vets, where possible, to choose their day off allowing 4d weekends to be taken without using any holiday up! Our weekend rota is completed 6-12 months ahead and daily rotas are available 5 weeks in advance, so our staff can plan their time off.

Our full-time vets generally choose to work a 4-day week (10-hour days on shifts between 8:00am and 7:00pm) with some Saturday mornings and weekend work. There is no standard OOH or telephone duties for this role although occasional requirement to care for low dependency boarders on a Sunday (not on Bank Holidays). We are also happy to accommodate part time applicants for this role who are looking to work 2 or 3 days per week.
