How you can help make a better world of work
Culture Amp is currently looking for a VP of Commercial Finance who will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership, management, and operation of the organisation's Commercial Finance function. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will have accountability for leading the FP&A, Reporting, and Business Partnering functions and 20 team members.
You will
- Business Leadership: Be a strategic and commercial leader and influencer within the business and ensure operating rhythms, reporting, analysis, and insight accelerate business performance in line with our strategic ambitions.
- Team Leadership: Maintain a high-performance culture within the Commercial Finance team with values consistent with those of the broader organisation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations to drive financial discipline and commerciality into the business.
- Strategic Financial Planning: Lead the development of medium and long-range financial strategies aligned with company growth objectives and expansion plans.
- Financial Forecasting: Oversee accurate revenue and cost projections and financial modeling to inform business decisions and investor communications as well as variance analysis on a monthly basis.
- Unit Economics Analysis: Drive deep understanding of profitability at the product, customer, and market level and proactively identify opportunities to improve key SaaS metrics like CAC, LTV, churn, and NRR.
- Investment Analysis: Evaluate ROI for new market entries, potential partnerships, product launches, and major business initiatives (including potential acquisitions).
- Board and Investor Relations: Prepare and present financial insights and progress metrics to the Board and investors on a regular basis.
- Operational Efficiency: Proactively identify opportunities to optimize spend and improve operating margins.
You have
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance; post-graduate qualifications such as MBA are advantageous but not essential.
- Membership of a recognised professional accounting body, such as CA, CIMA, CPA.
- Comprehensive technical skillset, including financial and operational management, forecasting and budgeting, planning and reporting, strategic leadership and framework development, investor relations, and (ideally but not essentially) exposure to M&A inclusive of due diligence, documentation, and integration.
- Experience in a senior finance role in an international high-growth business of scale with a degree of financial and operational complexity.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to reconcile, summarise, and interpret large amounts of data and communicate simply back to non-finance audiences.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to a range of internal and external stakeholders, including investors, in all market conditions.
- Well-developed people management skills and ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
- Ability to coach and develop team members and build an appropriate and effective culture.
- Experience in Technology/SaaS organisation with knowledge and understanding of subscription revenue models.
