Job Title: Web Design/ Knowledge Engineer

Job Type: Contract

Job Location: Brussels onsite

Contract Rate: Euro's 550 per day

Minimum of 8 years professional experience as a Knowledge Engineer.

The services of the "Knowledge Engineer" will take place within the "Web Design" service of the Webmaster Unit.

• responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of the new online presence,
• responsible for designing and supervising within the service the graphic proposals for pages, sites, or applications in accordance with current graphic and functional principles, as well as the graphic proposals for interfaces for the contribution tools developed within the Unit.
• ensure that the navigation, accessibility, and user experience principles in force are respected and understood by both the members of the "Design" service and colleagues from other services within the Unit.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the internet, significant knowledge of best practices in web page and website design;
• Skills in identifying needs and translating them into appropriate functional solutions;
• Good knowledge of web page/site prototyping tools (e.g., Adobe XD, Figma);
• Good knowledge of Markdown syntax;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
• Ability to speak in public;
• Skills in writing technical documentation, such as functional analyses;
• Written and spoken English.
• Translate user needs and concepts into graphic prototypes, taking into account the guidelines and standards in force.
• Evaluate navigation and implementation proposals and advise teams outside the Unit on projects related to the websites.
