WESTPOLE Belgium - System Engineer

As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure. You will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions. This role requires a deep understanding of system engineering and the ability to manage complex IT environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and Implementation: Develop and implement IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, Storage, and network components
• System Administration: Manage and maintain Active Directory, SCCM, Identity Manager (IDM), LDAP, and DNS
• Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of IT systems
• Security Management: Implement and maintain security protocols to protect IT infrastructure and data
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented systems and procedures
• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members and departments to ensure seamless integration and support of IT services
• Upgrades and Patching: Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities

Required technical competencies

• Active Directory: Proficient in managing and maintaining Active Directory environments
• SCCM: Experience with System Center Configuration Manager for software deployment, updates, and inventory management
• Identity Manager (IDM): Knowledge of identity management systems and processes
• LDAP: Understanding of Lightweight Directory Access Protocol for directory services
• DNS: Expertise in Domain Name System management and troubleshooting
• Additional Skills: Familiarity with Linux server management, MS server management, Virtualization technologies, cloud services, and network infrastructure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in system engineering or a similar role
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
