Role:Legal Counsel - Commercial Insurance (Lloyd's Market)

Their legal function plays a pivotal role in supporting strategic growth, regulatory compliance, and commercial success across the UK and beyond. Due to expansion, they're seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join their UK legal function.

You will provide legal support across the business with a focus on:

• Negotiating and drafting Lloyd's and Company Market wordings, clauses, and distribution contracts
• Advising on regulatory matters and legal risk exposure across multiple jurisdictions
• Working closely with underwriting, compliance, and product teams to ensure legal robustness in all areas
• Supporting the development of bespoke insurance products and keeping abreast of emerging market issues
• Liaising with wordings experts and developing legal templates for consistent legal delivery
• Providing training and horizon scanning for legal and regulatory developments

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with solid post-qualification experience (4+PQE)
• Strong background in insurance law, ideally with Lloyd's Market exposure
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to deliver commercial advice
• In-house experience or secondments in the insurance/reinsurance sector is an advantage
