ABAKUS IT-Solutions - C4isr Expert

We are currently seeking a highly experienced C4isr Expert to support a strategic project within a leading international organization.
This role is intended for a senior-level professional with deep knowledge of NATO policies, a strong technical background in complex defense systems, and a proven ability to operate across governance, policy development, and high-level technical documentation. Responsibilities

• Leading and advising on the development and evolution of governance policies related to C3/C4isr interoperability.
• Analyzing interoperability challenges within complex defense and communication systems.
• Supporting the definition and validation of technical capabilities aligned with NATO standards.
• Providing subject matter expertise on NATO C4isr systems, emerging technologies, and software development best practices.
• Contributing to the implementation of NATO directives, especially the NATO C3 Interoperability Policy and the NATO Enterprise C3 Interoperability Directive.
• Participating in the full system development life cycle: analysis, engineering, integration, and deployment.
• Managing complex C4isr capability development projects in a multinational environment.
• Producing high-quality technical documentation, such as specifications, governance frameworks, and formal reports.
• Participating in NATO working groups and committees focused on capability development and interoperability.
• Using, configuring, and updating Wikimedia Semantic platforms to support structured knowledge management.

Profile

• University degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Security, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in interoperability, especially in NATO or defense-related contexts.
• In-depth knowledge of C4isr systems, modern DevSecOps practices, and emerging technologies.
• Solid understanding of NATO policies and directives, particularly those related to C3 interoperability.
• Hands-on experience across the entire C4isr system lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
• Strong project management background in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Excellent skills in producing clear, concise, and structured technical documentation.
• Demonstrated involvement in NATO committees and working groups, particularly those focused on standards and capability strategy.
• Proficiency in using Wikimedia Semantic or similar advanced documentation tools.
